The “SOMEȘ” Water Company is one of the few Public Services in Romania that has implemented and maintains an integrated management system for the entire system served (Cluj and Sălaj counties), including the branches, according to the requirements of the standards: ISO:9001 (quality management system), ISO:14001 (environmental management system), ISO:45001 (occupational health and safety management system) and ISO:22000 (food safety management system).
Water Company “SOMES” S.A. was recertified in 2020 according to the new standards SR EN ISO 9001:2015, SR EN ISO 14001:2015, SR ISO 45001:2018 and SR EN ISO 22000:2018.
Since 2009 “Water Analysis Laboratory – Gilau Treatment Plant” and “Water Analysis Laboratory – Treatment Plant” belonging to Somes S.A. Water Company received RENAR accreditation certificate. In 2013 and 2017 respectively “Water Analysis Laboratory – Gilau Treatment Plant” and “Water Analysis Laboratory – Wastewater Treatment Plant” obtained RENAR reaccreditation certificate according to the same standard.
Since 2019 Somes Water Company S.A. has started the implementation of the SA 8000 “Social Responsibility” standard.
