Someș Water Company is committed to making an essential contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the United Nations 2030 Agenda in the area it serves.


SDG 4 – “Quality education” – we run a quality applied education programme for the protection of water sources and the environment in general, as a prerequisite for the future sustainable development of the communities we serve.

SDG 6 – “Clean water and sanitation” – through our very object of activity, but also through all the investments we have been making for many years to modernise and extend the water supply and sewerage system, we want all users to benefit from excellent quality water and the most modern sewerage and purification systems.

SDG 11 – “Sustainable Cities and Communities” – we make investments that ensure the sustainable development of all the communities we serve, create jobs and socio-economic development opportunities.

SDG 12 – “Responsible consumption and production” – we run programmes to reduce water losses, energy efficiency, digitalisation and automation that reduce consumption.

SDG 13 – “Climate action” – we adopt the latest technologies to ensure environmental protection, adapt to climate change and continuously develop green, renewable energy programmes, reducing our carbon footprint and emissions.

SDG 14 – “Aquatic Life” – through investment and a focus on adopting new technologies, we protect both raw water catchments and the effluents into which we discharge treated wastewater.

SDG 15 – “Earth Life” – all our investments are directed towards the protection of the environment, wildlife and flora in the geographical area served as well as the protection of public health.

SDG 17 – “Partnerships to achieve the goals” – in our efforts we partner with all those who can contribute to achieving our goals.
