NOTICE OF INTENT

Someș Water Company S.A. announces the intention to adjust the price of drinking water and sewerage-treatment tariff, respectively, starting January 1, 2025

The need to adjust the prices/tariffs is based on the need to comply with the annual plan for the evolution of water and sewerage tariffs (tariff strategy) in the period 2024-2028, according to the decision no. 28/09.08.2024 of the Regional Association for Infrastructure Development in the Someș-Tisa River Basin, as well as the need to meet the conditions of the Financing Contract for the Sustainable Development Program - SDP

New water supply works were completed in Recea Cristur and Căprioara

Someș Water Company S.A., with the support of the Cluj County Council, completed and commissioned the water networks under the contract: "Extension of the water distribution network in the localities of Recea Cristur and Căprioara, Recea Cristur commune, Cluj county".

The project consisted in expanding the water distribution network in the towns of Recea Cristur and Căprioara over a total length of 5.3 km, with 183 connections to buildings.

A new investment completed in Chinteni commune

Someș Water Company S.A., with Cluj County Council as its majority shareholder, completed the works contract "Drinking water storage tank in Chinteni, Cluj county".

The town of Chinteni has a centralized water supply system that distributes water throughout the town. Against the background of the accelerated development of the area, the existing water storage tank was undersized, and in order to ensure the necessary water flow, the investment objective aimed to build a new water storage tank with a capacity of 300 m3. It was included in the SCADA system of Someș Water Company S.A., together with the existing pumping stations SP3 and SP5.

The extension of the sewerage system in Cămărașu has been completed

Someș Water Company, with the support of Cluj County Council, has finalized the works under the contract: "Extension of the sewerage network in Cămărașu, Cămărașu commune, Cluj County".

The objective of the project was a 2 km extension of the sewerage network in Cămărașu, with 60 connections to the sewerage network and the construction of two pumping stations.

On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the signing of the works contract "CL 16 - Rehabilitation of water and sewerage networks in the municipality of Cluj-Napoca", carried out as part of the major investment project implemented by the regional operator for Cluj and Sălaj counties, co-financed by the Union European through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program - POIM 2014-2020.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the headquarters of Compania de Apa Someș S.A., the signing of the works contract "CL10 - Extension and rehabilitation of water supply and sewerage networks in UAT: Florești, Baciu, Apahida and Feleacu" took place, as part of the major program of investments carried out by Compania de Apa Someș S.A. through POIM 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Union through the Cohesion Fund.

With the coming of the warm season, the experience of the Someș Water Company shows that a part, sometimes important, of the drinking water from the public distribution network is used for watering gardens, greenhouses, orchards, yards or for animal farms, which can cause the lack of flow or even the total lack of water to satisfy the minimum human and household needs, for the consumption of those downstream from those who use the water for other purposes, thus depriving them of a vital element.
